Utility Companies
Watts and Morgan can assist when land or rights over land for cables pipes masts etc. are required by any of the Utility Companies i.e. :-
- Water - Welsh Water or Severn Trent
- Gas Companies – Transco or British Gas
- Electricity Companies – Western Power Distribution
- Telecoms – British Telecom
- Wind Power Operators
Fees can be payable by the Utility Company so advice maybe free of charge to you if a claim is appropriate.
Capitalisation of Electricity Apparatus - Do you have overhead electricity pylons/cables situated on your land? If so you may be entitled to receive a one off capitalised payment to reflect the depreciation in the value of your land or property.

Compulsory Purchase
Watts and Morgan specialise in negotiating compensation resulting from Compulsory Purchase Orders by public bodies.
Such instances include:-
- Acquisition of land or rights over land for construction of a new road, motorway public footpath/cycle way or public facility.
- Claiming of compensation following construction or alteration of a public road where no land has been acquired – Part 1 Claims under Land Compensation Act
- Maintenance works to existing public utility apparatus situated on private land
In many of these cases the public utility or statutory body (e.g. Welsh Assembly or Local Authority) are statutorily obliged to settle our fees - therefore our services are provided free of charge.

Sale & Valuation of Live & Deadstock
Watts and Morgan as part of Glamorgan Marts hold livestock auctions for sheep and cattle at Cowbridge Market every Tuesday throughout the year.
Blackmill Sheep Sales are held fortnightly from Friday 9th October until December 2009 on behalf of the Blackmill Sheep Society. The Sales provide a good source for acquiring good quality Store Lambs/Ewes and Stock Rams from the surrounding areas.
Farm Dispersal Sales can be arranged on site if required.
